Toynbee Hall celebrates the 85th anniversary of this historic moment of community protest and solidarity. There will be archival material documenting the event, panel discussions and workshops that reflect on the Battle of Cable Street and what it means for the current struggles our communities face. Get a chance to meet other people, share food and spend time at Toynbee's historic halls.
EEWM will have a stall at the event to talk more about the women activists at the event, the museum's own beginnings on Cable Street and our plans for the new museum building
This event is free and open to the public but we do ask you to book in advance if you can.
