Discover fascinating women from east London, from boxer Annie Newton to Mary Driscoll, who was one of the organisers of the 1888 Match Girls’ strike. Explore how women are and should be represented, and how museums can tell these incredible stories.

The East End Women’s Museum researches and celebrates local women’s stories. It will be opening a new building in Barking Town Centre in 2022, and offering a year-round programme of exhibitions and events.
