Join the makers of the Wonderful Women of Newham map, commissioned by The East End Women’s Museum for a tour of Canning Town, highlighting the stories of local women throughout history.

The walking tour tells the story of the women workers of Newham’s shops, docks and factories, as well as the role of Canning Town locations in important women’s right movements like the Suffragettes.

The guided walking tour starts at 1.30pm, and takes about 45 minutes. The meeting point is in front of The Gym on 1 Minnie Baldock Street in Canning Town. It is recommended to wear easy shoes and to bring an umbrella if rain is expected.
